The Swil Kanim Foundation (SKF)  is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization dedicated  to providing unique and meaningful fine arts programs to underserved populations, to educate these populations in the fine arts, and to build lifelong benefits by including fine arts in every day life.

The Swil Kanim Foundation plans to offer a dynamic and constantly-evolving program. Although SKF will incorporate all of the fine arts into its programs, the main focus is on musical performances and education, combined with story-telling and group interaction. The programs will be delivered by artists who have been chosen to be included in the foundation’s Roster of Artists.

Initially, all programs and activities will be evaluated, selected and facilitated by Swil Kanim.  As the foundation grows and matures, other artists may be selected to participate and/or take the lead in the evaluation, selection and facilitation of programs.

Activities, Services and
Products

The Swil Kanim Foundation plays a significant role in bringing fine art and fine art events, recordings, and education to schools and other institutions.  The majority of target audiences are children from lower economic families in areas of cities where exposure to fine art is limited.  However, the foundation puts forth much effort to also reach other audiences who will benefit from the healing power of art.

Target audiences include but are not limited to:

·         Schools (public and private)
·         Colleges (public and private)
·         Prisons
·         Detention facilities
·         Rehab centers
·         Senior communities
·         Hospitals
·         Interdenominational Churches

 The foundation is non-political in all its activities and is dedicated to reaching diverse populations, including but not limited to ethnicity, sexual orientation, economic levels, and age groups. The foundation puts on its own events, and also works with other event organizers to provide admission and transportation to fine art performances.In addition to live events, the foundation will provide original artist recordings (audio and/or audiovisual) to offer a wide variety of fine art experiences. The foundation will continue to investigate new avenues for delivery of fine arts to communities.
